God will heal your grief.
It’s in the Bible, Psalm 147:3, TLB. "He heals the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds."
(Words to song playing)
(Verse 1)
I recall the day
Jesus called you home,
And He set you free from all the hurt and pain.
Now you live with Him
In joy that never ends,
And one day I know I'll join you there
And see you once again.
(Chorus)
Though for now you're gone,
It is just a little while,
Till the Lord gathers all up above.
As I think of you now,
There is comfort and a smile;
You're at peace
In His love.
(Verse 2)
When you left that day,
We had to wonder why --
Still so many things we do not understand.
But we trust in God
Who makes our lives complete
And by faith we carry onward,
For our lives are in His hand.
(Repeat Chorus)
Though for now you're gone,
It is just a little while,
Till the Lord gathers all up above.
As I think of you now,
There is comfort and a smile;
You're at peace
In His love.
(Verse 3)
With the angels you sing
In your new-found home,
To the One who will dry every tear.
One day we will join
The chorus up above.
We shall all be reunited,
And the night shall disappear!
(Repeat Chorus Two Times)
Though for now you're gone,
It is just a little while,
Till the Lord gathers all up above.
As I think of you now,
There is comfort and a smile;
You're at peace
In His love.
(Ending)
You're at peace
In His love.
Letting go is never easy,
Nor is it often kind.
Thoughts of what used to be,
Go running through your mind.
You'll bore all your friends,
Talking about the one you love so.
You'll regret the things said and unsaid,
And you'll ask "Why'd you have to go?"
But the time will come,
When you'll let all the feelings show.
You'll cry rivers of tears,
But don't be afraid, you're just letting go.

You'll feel like you've gone crazy,
And should be locked up in a padded cell.
Tho' way deep down inside you know,
That given time, you'll once again be well.
Just remember,
That as long as the memories are there,
A loved one never truly dies.
And we'll all meet once again,
In the sweet bye and bye.
There was once a procession
of children
marching in heaven.
Each held a lighted
candle, and as they marched,
they sang, Their faces shone with
happiness. But one little boy stood alone.
"Why don't you join us, little boy?" one happy child asked
I can't he replied. Every time I light
my candle, my mother puts it out
with her tears.
I lost my only child 14yrs this July 26,
God Bless you Chris only someone who's been
there can understand what your
going through.

"WHEN I MUST LEAVE YOU"
When I must leave you
for a little while,
Please do not grieve
and shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow to you
through the years,
But start out bravely
with a smile.
And for my sake
and in my name,
Live on and do
all the things the same.
Feed not your loneliness
on empty days,
But fill each waking hour
in useful ways.
Reach out your hand in comfort
and in cheer,
And I, in turn, will comfort you
and hold you near.
And never, never
be afraid to die,
For I am waiting for you
in the sky.
~ Helen Steiner Rice ~
I asked God to take away my grief,
And God said "NO."
He said it was not for Him to take away,
But for me to work through.
I asked God to make my broken heart whole,
And God said "NO."
He said my spirit is whole.
My pain is only temporary.

I asked God to take away my pride
And God said "NO."
He said it was not for Him to take away,
But for me to give up.
I asked God to make
My handicapped child whole,
And God said "NO."
He said the body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience
And God said "NO."
He said patience is a by-product of tribulation.
It isn't granted, it's earned.
I asked God to give me happiness
And God said "NO."
He said He gives His blessings,
Happiness is up to me.

I asked God to spare me from pain
And God said "NO."
He said sufferings draw you apart from
Worldly cares and brings you closer to Him.
I asked God to make my spirit grow
And God said "NO."
He said I must grow on my own,
But He will prune me to make me fruitful.

I asked God if He loved me
And God said "YES."
He gave His only Son who died for me,
And I will be in heaven someday because I believe.
I asked God to help me love others
As much as He loves me
And God said,
"Ah, you finally have the idea!"
